PK Starstorm!
Created in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop CS2. The brushes came from Akenon's purikura package.
Another special project for Illustrator class in Graphic Communications. I initially made the Franklin Badge for my Illustrator Special Project, but when I saw my classmates projects, it made it look slapped together in comparision. So I started this piece as an extra on Monday (02.26.07). I got all the vector art done that day and planned on doing the crazy photoshop effects yesterday. So I open my folders and all my work was GONE. I spent more than six hours after school working on it. I was crushed. I cried. After that, I put all my effort into making a new project from scratch and came up with this.
This is Kumatora from Mother 3. She is doing her PK Starstorm attack. I bought a box of Palty hair dye and I thought the mascots they use for their beauty products are cute (Palty is a Japanese brand for those of you not familiar with it). So I decided to draw Kumatora in that style.
After doing this project, I've become a lot more comfortable using Adobe Illustrator but I'm not completely satisfied with the outcome. It's still nicer than the original project I made, however. This was also made into a poster.
